What is it with bikers ?: Old BBC documentary about the Outcasts MC
In some ways the documentary showed a bunch of motorcycle obsessed guys, like myself and the crowd I grew up with, who rode got stoned and had a good time irrespective of societies norms. There is a lovable naievity about the whole thing which is only tainted by the 'modern'interpretation of what a Motorcycle club is and should be.I suppose times do change and the world has become a lot harder and everyone has to take life a lot more serious than they used to.
I have been trying to track this 40 minutes documentary for ages. The Sheffield forum got me briefly in contact with Skull, now Reverand.I knew Wulfe, deviant, Chaume all presented on the film primarily around funeral Wulf. A girl had a vid of the program she sent the Reverenmd but so far it hasn't produced the DVD he promised. The Outcasts are still ongoing but depleted in numbers.
When I was 15, way back in 1985 I used to drink in the pub Greengate Caister on Sea, Great Yarmouth. I loved motorcycles can I do now for me and 5 others decided to create a bike group called "coon is." Bloody stupid name, but the oldest of the group was a complete knob. What I know I was only 15 and a head leak. Anyway word got around about us somehow and randomly one quiet evening in the pub a roar of 20 or so Motorbikes headed our way and it turned out to be the Outcasts. For some reason there was the thoughts they had come to beat us up as was there reputation then. Turns out they disbanded us and told us not to wear a patch, never been sure why. All a bit silly really. Strongest memory of the short time they were there was at least 2 of them taking my Cigarettes, staring me down as they did so.Felt like i was in a playground.Hells Outcasts Mc - Bookshelf
