Walmart may take aim at Target

I for one don't want to see Walmart move into Burbank. We don't need it nor do we want it. We already have Target and Kmart. Walmart brings a different element into a community and I have seen how it changes nice family places like Porter Ranch. If I wanted to shop at Walmart and I don't I would drive to the places that they have ruined with their big unattractive stores plus they don't have quality merchandise and treat their employees unfairly. I think as residents and taxpayers of Burbank we should have a voice in the businesses that come into our city especailly stores like Walmert that not only brings more traffic, more crime and an overall bad element into our family community. I love living in Burbank and like the fact that we don't have a WollyWorld here because no matter where they build it changes whether you agree or not. They don't bring more jobs to the city only transfer people from other stores that get laid off.

As soon as an argument devolves into the liberal vs conservative debate it becomes pointless and idiotic.  This isn't a liberal perspective, it's a common sense perspective.  Common sense will tell you anywhere WM goes, they have a negative impact on the community, the people, the economy, the enviornment, everything.  You don't seem to have it or see it.  Common sense also tells me you're right.  WM will probably open a crapbox store here in Burbank.  Biggest company in the world.  Not much the little guy can do to stop them.  It's too bad but that's the way it is.  Enjoy shopping there.  I won't ever do it.  Enjoy living in Burbank.  I won't be living here. 

Walmart isn't thinking of buying here.  They have already bought the property from a Private Company and it is not part of Burbank Empire Center.  They can do what they want with the land.  You are just a liberal who doesn't like Walmart.  I for one hope you are outnumbered.  Good luck in winning this one.  You are not going to get the high paying jobs back here in Burbank. They left and are not coming back.  There is not enough incentive for them to come. This may be one fight you are going to lose.  I like it here and plan to stay.  We will see shortly how this all plays out.  Oh, and I do get it.  You liberals want it your way or nothing at all.
