The Last Trumpet

The Lord gathers people to Himself in the air, a major event must take place first. The Word of God says a world leader will enter the temple in Jerusalem and declare himself to be God (see 2Thess 2:1-12). Have you seen that happen yet? Is there even a Jewish temple in Jerusalem right now? Until you see these things, Jesus cannot come or gather people to Himself.
(2) People will be changed at “the last trumpet.” The Lord’s people will meet Him in the air (1Ths. 4:16-17; 2Ths. 2:1) and be changed “in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet” (1Cor. 15:52). The last trumpet is the last trumpet, which is when the Lord returns to earth to judge the nations (read Revelation). The Lord will not return twice, only once – at the seventh and last trumpet.
(3) God’s people can be present during His wrath. The ‘rapture’ doctrine is built on the false idea that God wouldn’t allow His people to be present on earth during His end-time plagues and wrath. However, the shadow keeping the Israelites (though present) safe from those plagues. (See Exodus 3-12.) Those who followed the Word of God at that time were saved from God’s wrath, but that generation disobeyed Him later and did experience His wrath.
So why is there a rapture* doctrine at all? It’s a popular part of the huge package of Scripture-distorting, make-people-feel-good, false teaching given out by the false church, the “many.” Jesus forewarned that “many” would come in His name (so-called Christians) and would “mislead many” (Matt. 24:4-5). Aren’t you seeing it?
