UPND youth leader challenges FODEP's Ngoma to join politics

According to a statement made available to Watchdog, UPND National Youth coordinator Brian Hapunda has further advised Dr Ngoma not to take politics to the institution as it is not a political institution, adding that it is a well known fact that he is PF.

Hapunda said that it is unfortunate to note that FODEP, an institution that is supposed to lead by example in the strengthening of democratic tenancies such as intra house democracy, professionalism and transparency is in the forefront exhibiting lack of professionalism.

“We sadly note that a serious thereafter join active Politics through his party of allegiance, the PF,” he said.

He said that Dr Ngoma should emulate FODEPs past late president, Prof. Alfred Chanda who deligently ran the organisation with professionalism.

“Professor Alfred Chanda deligently ran that organisation with extreme professionalism. He even managed to put FODEP on the international scene all because of his high Integrity and unbiasness. Dr Ngoma must not take politics to the NGO world,” he said.

UPND will never ever rule this nation in its current Tonga shape! Ngoma is rubbish and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. Chipenzi is a good guy and needs our suppprt. He is proffessional, sharp, and politically independent. Thats the reason why Ngoma wants him out. Meanwhile the most dull ‘Doctor’ is Ngoma. He must have passed his degrees using leakage. Rubbish Ngoma. Tiye uko!!!!!!! Vote wisely in 20HH!

Why do some people have a phobia about Tongas? Why can’t a Tonga express his opinion without being labelled tribalist? I am not a Tonga but I am really getting fedup with this attitutde from a number of my fellow Zambians. Where is this attitude coming from? Why are we creating issues where there are none at all. Why is this mental bankrupcy creeping into our society?

It is my first time to post on ZWD but have been keenly following comments on most of the news items. What saddens me is the shallow mindedness of some people who post comments on this forum.

Generally speaking I try to avoid featuring basketball players who have not yet entered high school. Derrick Caracter was the lone exception, until now. Piscataway Tech coach Karl Towns had told me about his son, and when I finally saw him work out, I realized there was a good story here.

After meeting young Karl I feel comfortable that he has the maturity and support system to handle the tidal wave coming his way. The fact that he’s likely to attend either Immaculata or St. Joseph-Metuchen and play baseball as well as hoops — instead of hunkering down at some basketball factory — is a good sign that he’s going to avoid the sheltered-prodigy route.

Now, college is a long way off for Karl, but our college hoops readers will be interested to note that both father and son have a strong interest in keeping it local. A lot of twists and turns remain, but my read is that the locals will have every opportunity to land this big fish.
