The Angels will be hesitant to dangle Trout as trade bait, so don't expect teams to go fishing for Trout any time soon. Trout will be the franchise in a couple of years, but right now he and the Angels are content with him raking in AA.
He also plays in the outfield, and sees some time at DH. Kind of sounds like an Adam Dunn-type guy, and the Sox barely have enough room for him. Marrero's bat has been plenty good this year. He's hitting .311 with 11 home runs and 44 RBI.

Yeah, so not much baseball to report on. I am hitting four games in CT this weekend, Binghamton at New Britain doubleheader today and Monday, and Brooklyn at the CT Tigers Sunday. 34th round draft pick RHP Jacob Lugo made his third start of the year for Kingsport, and it was an interesting one. He tossed five no-hit innings, but also walked five. All in all, the K-Mets held the Rays hitless for six, while their league best offense continued to pile up runs. 6 of Kingsport's 7 runs were produced by the longball as CF Tillman Pugh , 3B Dustin Lawley and C Tyler Carpenter all went deep. The GCL Mets lost a tough game and their lead in the division to the GCL Marlins yesterday. It was a seesaw affair in the late innings. The GCL Marlins tied it in the top of the eighth, only to see the GCL Mets strike back in the bottom half to regain the lead when 2B Donnie Tabb doubled in RF Gilbert Gomez. However, RHP Luis Cessa , who had coughed up the lead in the eighth, came back out for the ninth and promptly walked two and committed a error on a pickoff attempt. Both baserunners would come around to score and give the GCL Marlins a 6-5 lead. The Mets went quietly in the bottom of the ninth and now find themselves a half game behind the Marlins in the GCL East division. DSL LOOK-IN: On the DSL Mets 1, OF Vincente Lupo continues to struggle with contact, striking out in a third of his plate appearances. The tools are showing up, though, as half his hits have been for extra bases, and he is showing decent patience. Considering he doesn't turn 18 until November, that is not bad for a kid playing against rosters 3-5 years older than him.
