What is the best airline to use to travel to Japan? | rousland.com

I live in Mississippi and planning to travel to Tokyo. I’ve never been on a plane, so i would like some experienced flyers to help me choose the best airline at an affordable price.

well if Mississippi has Delta then get it.

Off brand airlines, usually don’t have has many flyer protection plans like, stolen goods recovery, luggage search, etc.,

Many first time fly worry about flight, it’s all about your items, and luck. No fragile items in luggage, they throw luggage and use machine for newer airports and international flights, so nothing the you are scared of breaking from a fall.

If the price and itinerary work out for you, probably JAL. My coworker has made several trips from San Francisco to Manila with plane change in Narita on JAL, and she has been very pleased with them. Part of what makes that work for her is that she does have relatives to visit near San Francisco, so she will buy a separate ticket from Boise on Southwest. I have flown several times from Boise to Taipei via San Francisco and Narita on United. It’s not bad, nothing to rave about. Part of why that works for me is the itinerary, including the United non-stop from Boise to SFO. So a significant consideration could be what domestic flight is compatible with your international flight in putting together your ticket.

Economy seats are not much different each other all. Price may be varied not by airline but by time and place. Just use the airline you have its mileage card that you’ll utilize your Pacific round trip miles effectively later. If you choose JAL airline, you can try some Japanese meal in the air. But again, if you don’t go to Japan so often, try American airline as better mileage option.

I have taken Delta and Continental to/from Japan and would highly recommend both. But when it comes down to an affordable price, you should really go with the airline that gives you… the most affordable price.

Unfortunately, as many others have said, you’ll have to connect through another airport which increases the price. i.e. through Dallas on American Airlines, through San Francisco on United….

When looking for airfares you should remember about code-share agreements that airlines have with each other. For example American and JAL are in the same alliance, while United and ANA are in the same alliance.
